Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the lobster tails and cook for about 5-7 minutes, until they turn bright red and the meat is opaque.
Remove the lobster tails from the water and allow them to cool slightly. Once cooled, remove the lobster meat from the shells and chop it into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Broth
In a large pot, combine the chicken stock, water, miso paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes (if using). Stir to combine and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
Add the sugar, black pepper, and adjust the seasoning to taste. Let the broth simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Step 3: Cook the Noodles
While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Divide the noodles evenly between two bowls.
Step 4: Assemble the Lobster Ramen
Ladle the hot broth over the noodles in each bowl.
Arrange the chopped lobster meat, sliced mushrooms, and boiled egg halves (if using) on top of the noodles.
Garnish with chopped green onions, nori strips, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro or parsley.
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Serve the Lobster Ramen hot with lime wedges on the side for a burst of fresh citrus.
Chef’s Note
For a more robust flavor, feel free to add a dash of fish sauce or a bit of miso paste to the broth.
If you’re looking to add extra richness, you can drizzle a little more sesame oil or a splash of cream to the broth.
Be sure not to overcook the lobster—its delicate meat cooks quickly and will become tough if overdone.
You can experiment with different garnishes, such as bean sprouts or bok choy, to suit your preferences.
If fresh lobster is not available, you can substitute with lobster meat from a frozen lobster tail or use cooked shrimp for a more affordable option.
