Classic Fish Finger Sandwich

A tasty and quick-to-prepare fish finger sandwich, perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. This sandwich is packed with flavor, thanks to the homemade tartare sauce and the addition of gherkins and lettuce.
Ingredients
- 4 fish fingers
- Butter, softened for spreading (optional)
- 2 slices white bread
- ½ tbsp tomato ketchup
- ½ gherkin, sliced
- Handful of shredded lettuce
- For the tartare sauce:
- 1 tbsp mayo
- 1 tsp capers, chopped
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- 2 tsp chopped parsley
Instructions
- Cook the fish fingers as per the instructions on the package. In the meantime, mix all the tartare sauce ingredients in a bowl and set it aside.
- Spread butter on the bread slices (this is optional). Then, spread the tartare sauce on one slice and the ketchup on the other. Arrange the fish fingers on the slice with the tartare sauce, top it with sliced gherkins and lettuce. Cover with the other slice of bread, cut in half and serve.
